After the Feyenoord changing room admission, Liverpool players were informed of what to expect from Arne Slot.

Arne Slot is being discussed by Liverpool and Feyenoord to become the team’s next manager.

Members of his current team have praised the Dutch manager for his efforts.

Three months have passed since Jürgen Klopp declared his intention to go as Liverpool’s manager, and it seems the Reds have at last found the right replacement.

Feyenoord and Liverpool are negotiating regarding the appointment of manager Arne Slot at the end of the current campaign.

On Thursday night, Slot, 45, announced his desire to take over at Anfield.

Liverpool is currently negotiating a compensation sum with the Dutch powerhouses.

He told ESPN, “It seems obvious to me that I would like to go to Liverpool.”

“At this point, I’m waiting to see if the clubs can come to an understanding. I’m quite confident of that. After the clubs have completed their work, I will wait. That’s something I have to honour.”

With four games left in the Klopp era for Liverpool, Slot’s appointment may be finalised before the season ends.

After taking over at Feyenoord in 2021, the Dutchman guided his team to the Eredivisie title the previous season.

This season, he has also won the Dutch Cup, and according to team captain, Gernot Trauner, the players would not object to Slot being given the chance to prove himself in the Premier League.

“As a whole, we appreciate what he has done for us, how he has developed the team,” Trauner stated to ESPN.

Since it’s not finished yet, we naturally hope he stays. However, we also know that the day will come when he needs to move forward. He won’t be held responsible if that is Liverpool. I will be overjoyed for him if it comes to pass.”

Goalkeeper Justin Bijlow reiterated his remarks, detailing the specific ways in which Slot has improved Feyenoord’s situation.

“Over the past three years, the coach has accomplished something fantastic at the club,” he continued.

“We had a totally different mindset when he arrived; we weren’t particularly into playing football from the back.

Not to mention how professional he is in every way. The organisation as a whole has greatly improved.”

Feyenoord defeated Go Ahead Eagles 3-1 on Thursday night in response to rumours regarding Slot’s future.

The Eredivisie team’s victory guaranteed them a spot in the Champions League for the upcoming season.

According to Liverpool, Slot is well-liked by his teammates, who appreciate the job he’s done at Feyenoord. Liverpool presents a great opportunity, and it seems he will be given the go-ahead to spearhead the Klopp era. He will be keen to win over the Reds’ locker room and challenge for the championship the following year.
