In a haughty manner, Angel Reese recounts the moment she realized WNBA All-Stars would defeat Team USA.

The NBA will take a month off for the Olympics following the All-Star game.

After the All-Star squad defeated the U.S. Olympic team 117-109, the WNBA All-Star weekend came to an incredible conclusion. The Paris Olympics will cause the league, which has been setting records for viewership, ratings, and retail sales, to take a nearly month-long break.

This Friday, July 26, the Olympics will commence with a 3.72-mile river march through the heart of Paris along the Seine. “We knew after our little 30-minute practice yesterday that we were going to win,” Reese stated. “The tone was set.” Reese’s haughty remarks following the victory served to emphasize the team’s high level of confidence before the game.

They played against the team that is considered to be the finest in the world, and they will undoubtedly take the gold medal with ease. I doubt that they would face additional challenges in Paris against an Olympic opponent.

Even though it was only an exhibition match, Reese and Clark’s absence from the Olympics gave these players even more motivation to demonstrate that they were ready for such a big task. They will now need to wait four years to compete in Los Angeles 2028, and who knows—perhaps one of them will have a ring on their finger by then.
